The Qatari Triathlon player Ibrahim Al Rumaihi has finished his first participation in the half-Ironman World Championship, which was held last Sunday in Tennessee in the United States of America. He started racing in the competition by swimming in open water for a distance of 2 kilometers, followed by crossing 90 kilometers on the bike before finishing the race by running for 21 kilometers, a total of 113 kilometers in sports all three combined. The player has ended the race in a time of 5 hours and 24 minutes. It is not only that Al- Rumaihi is the first player to be qualified from Qatar for the World Championship of half-ironman, but also it is considered the first appearance of Qatar in such global tournaments, by which the player has reached through a long phase of qualifiers. Al-Rumaihi has expressed his happiness to end the race in a great time record compared to the number of challenges and difficulties that had confronted him, especially the heights encountered him during the phases of riding the bike and running for long distances, which was a real challenge. He also thanked his family for standing by him, his fellow team players QTRI, and last but not least the bord member of the Qatar Triathlon Union Dr. Nasser Saqr Al-Mohannadi, who accompanied him through the race to morally encourage and support him.
